About
We are a volunteer association striving to make our neighborhoods a better place to live and work, with membership being open to everyone residing or working in the 18th District of Reading.
We are responsive to our community’s needs through the relationships we build with our neighbors, neighborhood businesses, community organizations and the City of Reading.
We operate as a conduit of information for our neighbors. This is done by providing meetings, maintaining a membership email list, and website/Facebook page. We keep our neighbors aware of city operations, community businesses/organizations, community events, and potential developments and changes in the neighborhood.
We promote activities within our neighborhood, such as beautification projects, facade programs, sidewalk/crosswalk projects, and community events.
We offer an opportunity for neighbors to bring forth their concerns and problems, providing direction and connecting them to resources for further investigation of their issues in order to create a better place to live and work.
Our Mission
Our mission is to build community by providing a forum for sharing information, connecting neighborhoods, promoting activities and fostering civic involvement in our diverse community which creates an improved image and perception of the 18 Ward neighborhoods.
